Jason Hoolsema is the chief information officer for the National Retail Federation. In this role, he is responsible for proactively aligning technology needs and advancements in business intelligence with the strategic initiatives of the organization. His information technology team, comprised of infrastructure, web development and data policy, ensures NRF can successfully advance the interests of the retail industry through advocacy, communication and education.
Previously, Hoolsema served as vice president of information technology at NRF and oversaw the technology needs of the organization. Key accomplishments during this time include building the technology infrastructure for NRF’s new office space in 2014; launching several redesigns of NRF.com, most recently in fall of 2018; bringing NRF into compliance with new data regulation laws; and building an advanced cybersecurity platform for the organization.
Before coming to NRF more than seven years ago, he served as the director of information technology at the American Society of Radiation Oncology, where his achievements included the successful launch of a new association management system and content management system. While at ASTRO, Hoolsema also developed a new application development process that significantly streamlined the application development cycle.
