WASHINGTON – The NRF Foundation Board of Directors today announced that The Home Depot Vice President of Human Resources Sherry Yaskin was elected as its newest board member during its virtual meeting on September 23. The board is comprised of executives from leading retail organizations and serves to guide the NRF Foundation as the preeminent resource for educational training and career information for the retail industry.
Yaskin replaces outgoing board member Arlette Gurthrie, senior vice president for human resources of The Home Depot, who has served since January 2016.
“We are thankful to Arlette Guthrie for her service and for helping us prepare people of all backgrounds for life-changing careers,” NRF Foundation Executive Director Bill Thorne said. “We are pleased to welcome Sherry Yaskin to the dedicated group of professionals on the NRF Foundation Board as we continue our work to connect more people to our programs and resources.”
The NRF Foundation board is chaired by Macy’s, Inc. Chairman and CEO Jeff Gennette.
